life of...: I hear “Mah-ahm… You’re EMBARRassing me!!!!” so often I'm sick of it. If I wanted to embarrass them, I could do better than that. lol

mssc54: Gosh... I meant "we" but I'm usually the social coordinator in our house. Sorry for the confusion. I like the two strike rule.

Okay. I'm called her mom tomorrow. Carpe diem

1. Enteresting that you said "I" and not "we". Because the answer is completely different if you (alone) are getting together with the son's gf's parents.

It has been my experience that you can invite twice without them inviting you back. If you are the one doing all the inviting then something is amiss.

2. "Bless your heart" = "I had no idea you were so clueless."

3. Strap on that bikini and strut it. Just wear a wrap around when you are around the youngsters. Apparentally somebody is paying attention! lol

1. Seems like you should get together as often as possible! I was always trying to find excuses for my boyfriends' parents to hang out with my parents. Because then I'd have excuses to see the boyfriends more often. Then again, I was not a teenage boy. And their minds might as well inhabit aliens' bodies, so maybe the real answer is something like, "Mah-ahm... You're EMBARRassing me!!!!"

2. Awww. No.

3. Wear it proudly!

Doing your own acrylics! Muy impressivo! My nails where one of the things that I let go of when I had kids. It's not that I don't have time in my life to do my nails, it's that I never have enough time to let them dry!!!!!!

After consistent ruined nails in conjunction with the birth of my first son, I just gave up. I decided I would do my nails again when I no longer had a baby in the house. I commend you!

this is something that I have yet to experience since I have yet to be able to go to a conference with my husband, but I could understand how you might feel. It seems a little 50's.
