I started reading Chapter 6 of Turn Your Face by Barbara Linney and was amused to read the author saying working too much can be a symptom of falling in love with praise. After what I wrote yesterday about my husband’s confession of feeling more successful at work than at home, I know Barbara and I are on the same page. Mark is definitely a people pleaser and early in our marriage, he was getting more positive feedback at work than at home. Could it be that simple? Not on your life. (more…)
