The Duchess of Alba has announced she is divvying up her fortune to each of her children to prove that Alfonso Diez wants to marry her for love, not for money. When I first read about this story, I wondered if she was known for being a little over the top. After all, she has been married twice before and many (if not all) of her children are upset about this relationship. However, when I learned that only death separated the Duchess from her previous husbands AND that her children had not had much success in their own marriages, I began to appreciate the wisdom of this 85 year old romantic.
